I have very flat feet and my feet were killing me being in used snowboard boots all day at work. I put these in my boots the improvement was noticeable by the second day when my feet started to get used to them. THey are a great insole and I want to get a pair for every pair of shoes that I own. I would like to try the orange for my snowboard boots due to the cushion in the ball of the foot area.

Have you ever wanted your feet, especially your heels, to hurt more than you imagined at the end of the day? Have you ever wanted to spend money to accomplish this masochistic goal? Than THESE might be the insoles for you!
Seriously, whoever came up with the idea of putting a wedge of plastic under your heel deserves to be slapped silly with their own invention. I stuck with these for 1 1/2 months of daily use and the discomfort only grew. It felt like I was developing plantar fascitis. I've heard people swear by these just like I've heard people swear them off. Make sure you buy them from a place with a good return policy in case you fall into the latter category.

I have been using green for a year now, love them and they fit great. I had a thought that perhaps it was a bit too high of an arch though, so I tried blue. I use F (11.5-13 M) and have a size 12 foot. I find the green to fit perfect, and the blue to be too narrow in the heel. As for the arch support, exactly as you would expect, just a bit shorter than green.
Better for Dress shoes, than black Superfeet

The Blue Superfeet have less arch support than the green, but also makes them better when you need to put them in a slim shoe such as dress shoes. I actually got these for putting in cowboy boots that had no support and now they feel great! I tried my existing pair of green Superfeet in the boots first but that added too much volume so the blue was the way to go. The black Superfeet are also listed as being for dress shotes but they have a cleat like bottom that would have damaged the insides of my boots so again, blue.

I have used the blue for sometime now and am considering giving the green a shot. I have quite flat feet (but am more than comfortable wearing my blues) and was wondering if anyone knew the actual difference of the rise of the arch in the green vs. blue. Thanks

Hi Michael, I don't know the answer to your question but wanted to provide some info on my experiences... I was in Walmart and tried out the Dr. Scholl's custom footmapping computer thing only to find out that my foot arches were not what I thought they were (I had one foot suggesting a different # then the other!). I purchased the suggested number and have relieved lots of back and foot pain... Thought it was a gimmick but was pleasantly surprised...might give it a try...

I use the blues in my snowboard boots because I also do not have high arches. I decided this past winter to give the greens a shot, and while they were quite comfortable, the arch is a little higher because there is also a slightly higher heel cup. I wound up switching back to the blues because they compromised the heel retention system in my boot and my foot slid up more. So, while I would recommend the greens for high-impact activities for some people, keep in mind that they do take up more room in the heel than the blues. And if you have flat feet, I would stick to the blues.

I also have very flat feet. You will want to stick with the blues. The green insoles have a higher arch and will likely cause discomfort. Superfeet blue insoles are made for flat feet to medium arches.
Do orthotics make me officially old?

I bought these in response to my doctor telling me that my flat feet were actually the cause of my knee problem. At first i was using them in some $25 flimsy pieces of crap i had for a few years, and even then the difference was substantial. Once i put them in my newbalance 993s i was amazed at the level of support they offer. If you think you may benefit from insoles but are worried that they might be too much for your pathetic arches to handle, start with superfeet blue. These are a quality product however at 35 bucks a pop they are way pricey for a chunk of plastic. Still well worth it, at least for me.

I used these for work and snowboarding. For work, I was on my feet for 7-8 hours a day dealing. I use to get sore feet. This completely removed it. I also used it in my snowboard boots. I use to get a lot of pain after awhile on my arches. No more!

I have a few sets of these. I have low arches and have foot problems, especially in hiking or ski boots. These provide just the right amount of support and have turned shoes that I thought were unwearable into some of my favorites as well as adding life to ski boots I thought were at the end of their life.
I have also tried the Superfeet green but the arches on those were too high for my feet.
Great For Trailrunning Shoes

These were the best of the Superfeet for me, as I found the green and the orange inserts to be more than I needed in trail running shoes. I paired these up with a set of North Face Ultra 104 GTX trailrunners for a couple years as my main trail running and light hiking shoes, and they served me well. These provide good support if you find the stock insole of your chosen shoes to be inadequate.
Nice affordable fix

Most shoes don't come with great insoles. I love these because I can pop them into any pair of shoes and they add the extra support I need.

In addition to standard insoles

I wear these in my dress shoes (sorry, nothing exciting) in addition to the standard insoles for added volume and support. They really serve the purpose and I recommend them to other who "suffer" from low volume like me!

I first purchased these for my snowboard boots and now have them in my running shoes. Once they're cut and trimmed, they fit perfectly into both shoes and boots. My feet feel great after a full day on the mountain. I have not tried running on them yet, but do have them in my running shoes. I'll probably purchase a pair for every new boot as it keeps my feet from getting fatigued.

I'm a 10.5 and I find the Orange flavor to be a better fit for most of my shoes. I've started skateboarding a bit and wanted more support than the insoles provided (none). I found the Orange ones to make the overall fit too snug. The Blues are great when you want more support with a slightly lower profile. In Asics running shoes, the blues are slightly too narrow in my opinion.

Ordered to attempt to improve metatarsalgia. Used in pair of Merrell Chamelons. Fit easily when original footbed removed. Did improve comfort and support, but did not completely resolve issue. I believe shoes are compressed from use. Could have used more forefoot padding.

these are wonderful insoles. I had custom made insoles made in the past that cost a lot but these work every bit as well and were recommended to me by a podiatrist . I was having problems with my knee and heels but now I am feeling normal .My old ones were still worked but not so great looking or smelling if you know what I mean.

I've used blue Superfeet in several pairs of Montrail shoes, including Continental Divides and Mountain Masochist GTX. You should absolutely have these professionally fitted, because these can do more harm than good if they are the wrong size.
After a break in period, I noticed considerably less foot fatigue and better overall posture. I was on my feet on a concrete floor for 8+ hours a day, and go home to take my shoes off, having felt like I was sitting all day. On the trail they do the same. The stability and support they give your feet is fantastic, maximizing the performance of your footwear.
I initially used orange Superfeet in my trail running shoes, but I noticed with several pairs of my orange Superfeet in Montrail shoes that my heel would start to rub my socks in a way that I had never experiences before. After almost a year of this, I tried blue Superfeet in the same shoes. The lower profile of the blue allowed my foot to sit properly in the heel cup, stopping the rubbing issue. While I miss the cushion of the orange in the forefoot, the better fit in the heel cup is well worth it. While superfeet does design each insole for a specific purpose, don't be afraid to try different ones. A different color may work better for you.
I just finished hiking the Long Trail in Vermont with these insoles, and know that they drastically helped my feet out on the trail. Averaging 12-15 miles a day with a 25-30 pound load will take its toll on your feet, but the Superfeet offered great support to keep foot fatigue to a minimum.
Will these insoles work with Sidi Ergo 2's...

Will these insoles work with Sidi Ergo 2's or Genius 6.6 cycling shoes?
Damon Salter
Member since
Yes these will work and the work pretty well. There is a chance that your shoe will fit tighter becuase the Sidi insoles are thinner than the superfeet blue. If you have no extra room in your shoe now a replacement insole may put you in the uncomfortably tight arena.
The Superfeet blue insole is the lowest profile insole they make so it is your best bet. The green is way too thick.
a good investment
