Description

Losing your hat would be such a downer if you really had a treasure map.

Because of its UPF-50-rated fabric, the Sunday Afternoons Sun Tripper Cap protects your bald spot (or thick, luxurious hair) and face from the sun’s harmful rays. The Sun Tripper features a folding brim so you can stash this cap in your back pocket when you don’t need it. Mesh venting panels and a wicking sweatband help you stay dry and coolheaded on hot days. A crown pocket holds a credit card and ID or a secret treasure map.

My "Go-To" Hat

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

I wear my Sun Tipper more then any hat in the Sunday Afternoons line. It works well in just about every situation throughout the day; work, shopping and kicking back...

Nothing better than pumping a little water on a hot, sunny Sunday, is there...!?

I hope they are wearing a pair of waterproof Bogs. I refuse to use the faucets of today as they are not zombie or apocalypse proof and when I get water from my well I always spill. Thanks to my favorite pair of bogs though my socks never get wet.

great fit, wicks away!

The hat is a great fit and style. I'm a true medium and the hat fits great. The cord in the back is good if you're in between sizes. What I love is the wick away sweatband and how its breathable. The style isn't as deep as a military style hat, but its still a great cut. I wish the brim wasn't foldable so I could make the brim a little less straight across, but its still pretty cute.

Just Right

I purchased this hat after trying several other military style hats that Backcountry.com sells. I have medium to large head and find many hat sit to high on my head. It was close call between this hat the the Outdoor Research Radar Pocket Cap which sat lower on my head. I decided on this hat as it looks more feminine.
There is also a small black cinch cord on the back on the hat which I find helpful as I am between a medium and a large.

Nice little hat

I like this hat. It is very well made and I like the material. I wish it was a little deeper however. The design of it makes it less complimentary than a castro hat.

I found it...

I've been looking for a cap like this for a long time. It's quite comfortable; design fits well on the head; headband is wide and comfortable; adjustible cord from the back give customized fit and can be adjust to windy conditions; material is light-weight; and two vents on each side for air-flow and circulation. Cap bill is foldable so you can pack it tight including your back pocket. I also like the style; simple and functional. A little more than what I expected to pay but worth the extra and the wait.

Stoked

This is a sweet cap! Foldable brim and ventilation definitely give it the one up other caps out there. I use mine to for both around town and out on the trail. I really like the folding brim cause I can actually just the hat keep in my back pocket.

I was in between sizes when I bought mine. Opted for the Large. Cap sizes down pretty good.
