Yup, they are below the waist, so they will work well with low riding pants and jeans.

I bought these to go over my cycling shorts and under my ski pants for those cold winter days. They feel and fit great, much more flattering than regular wool undies. The have a thicker construction but still don't itch. Very flattering cut, I wonder if I shouldn't have bought two pair?...
