    Race Super Excellent bibs.

Sugoi didn't design the RSE Men's Bib Short for casual cruises or bar-hopping group rides. It's a race-day short, pure and simple, with a smooth, sleek fit and high-end fabrics that are all about getting you to the finish line as fast as possible. Sugoi employed Ultra Pro, a form-hugging, wind-shedding fabric that wicks moisture and breathes well to keep you cool, dry, and fast as you hammer up climbs and slip down descents. The panels are strategically cut to ease movement, not hinder it, and the bonded seams provide an aerodynamic and low-profile look without irritating your skin. The bib straps are also bonded which allows them to lie comfortably under a jersey, and Sugoi replaced traditional leg grippers with a smooth silicone hem panel that hugs your legs smoothly without pinching or riding up.

Underneath, Sugoi didn't stop bringing the race-ready technology. The Formula FXE chamois is antimicrobial and moisture wicking, to prevent odor and keep you dry, and is constructed without an inseam to reduce bulk and discomfort. Even the multi-density foam is specially carved to reduce weight. Furthermore, the rounded edges help keep things smooth against your skin, and a molded center channel relieves pressure on soft and sensitive areas.

Looks like the design is flawed...

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Small

I really like the fit and materials. Unfortunately the piece that runs along the abdomen separated from the bib after 5 rides. My fear, the material along the abdomen will tear after a while. Hopefully Sugoi will find a solution to this as would be a great pair of bib shorts if they get this issue fixed.

    Tight

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Size Bought: Large

These fit snug. Really snug. Probably should have gone with an XL. But, once on, these are pretty nice and not a bad 50-75 mile bib. This is my 5th set of SUGOi bibs, not the best ones I have had, would rank, but, 100x better than Giro I had.

    Go to Long Ride Bibs

Sugoi makes great products that I like as well as several Italian products. I used these several times for rides of 50+ miles as well as several 80 milers. I found that the chamois is very comfortable and is holding up well. I also like the styling and with several Sugoi Jerseys makes a really sharp looking kit.

    Poor Quality

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I wore this product about 5 times. Strap ripped off from abdominal area. I bought it about 40 days but warranty only 30days. $120 gone done the drain. Avoid buying this product at all cost.

My 'Go To' race kit this season...

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Large

Being an unattached racer, I was looking for a standout kit for this season. This truly fit the bill. Obviously, aesthetics would mean nothing without comfort, these hit the mark. My usual work horse bibs are Castelli, thus far these have equalled, if not surpassed in the helpful compression ( guessing materials?!?) As always $$ value was GREAT, with CC. I will be looking for another kit soon, these are definitely on the list now.

    Nice Fit, Interesting Materials

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: True to size

I must admit I'm pretty new to road cycling and only have one other pair of bib shorts. So I'm not well versed in all of the different materials that are used.
That being said, I've found the shorts portion of these are great. They fit really well and the chamois has been very comfortable thus far. They are night and lightweight/breathable, which has been great. However, the material used in the suspenders seems to lack elasticity. If it had a little give, the comfort would improve a lot and accommodate slightly different rider body shapes.

    Best of the bunch

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: XL

I'm 6'5 210 and ordered a variety of high end Bibs ranging from 100-200 bucks (7) both XL and XXL for most of the Italian makers. I tested them back to back to back on a trainer in my garage and these were quite easily the winners. The thickness of the lycra/spandex was tops and provided great compression. The leg grippers made the transition from short to leg feel seamless and the chamois was solid. Not as good as some of the cytech chmois but very thick and provided great cushion. The only downside I noticed was the straps could have been a little more comfortable. I prefer the mesh straps and these were more elastic but overall these were my favorites. Construction feels extremely solid but will see how they wear over time.

    Great bib shorts

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Medium

All round great pair of shorts. Very comfortable insert/chamois, even compression, true to size chart measurements, and wash well in cold water. As they should be, the shoulder straps are comfortable in riding position and a bit tight for walking.

    Durability unclear

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: L

Really liked the fit and padding in these, but they ripped between seams the fourth time I pulled them on. But I liked them enough that I exchanged these for another of the same. Hopefully the first pair were just a lemon.

Possibly run a bit small, but I think that's just because they provide more compression than other bibs I've had.
