    Maximum comfort.

The Sugoi RS Pro Short uses three strategically placed fabrics for maximum comfort on the road. The outer legs utilize Sugoi's Ultra Aero fabric that's dimpled for a slippery aerodynamic surface. Slimmed-down front panels leverage ultra-thin Tri-Force fabric for enhanced breathability and temperature regulation. Adding durability along the inner legs, the short's Firo fabric reinforces the chamois area for extra resistance against saddle abrasion.

Designed to eliminate chafing and bulk, the included Formula FX Chamois is molded and welded for an excellent fit without an inseam — meaning there's no seam rubbing against the saddle. This chamois features breathable perforations and a V-notch for extra ventilation on hot summer rides. Its 4-way stretch fabric and advanced lamination provide a smooth, seam-free surface that conforms to your body, while the welded center channel and high-density vibration dampening relieve pressure and fatigue from long, grueling rides. Moreover, you'll find the short's clean-finish leg grippers prevent the short riding up, and its single side pocket holds your favorite media player or energy gels for added convenience.

My go-to shorts for any ride

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: XL

I've tried many shorts over the years, including the older RS Pro shorts, Desoto, Assos, Specialized, and Castelli along with a few cheap shorts/bibs too. My first ride was a century, and I was amazed how the dual density padding of the chamois was! This is by far, the most comfortable chamois I've ever used. I also love the waist band, as it's not a hindrance, so much that I'll wear these before bibs of other brands. My only dislike is that they still use those annoying silicone leg grippers. I turn them outward, but would prefer to not have to. I have a 36" waist, and the XL fits snug, but not too tight.

    Best shorts for the $

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: medium

The padding in these shorts are perfect. They are soft and they don't make you look like your wearing a diaper..lol
The length is a few inches above the knee, which I like and the panels have a nice contour and fit.

My only complaint I have is with a older pair that I have, the stitching has come undone for the padding. Lets hope they took care of that with the new ones.

But still by far my best shorts for long hot rides

Sonny, I not sure how you manage fit into the size Medium. You have 3" and 30 pounds on me. I just received a pair of the SUGOi RS Pro Shorts in Large. They seem to fit my 5' 9", 154 pound frame with a 34" measured waist just fine. I cannot imagine trying to squeeze into a Medium. These shorts seem to be much more of a Euro cut/size than, let's say, Pearl Izumi shorts. In the PI I do take the Medium.
