When it's so cold outside that curling up by the fire is the only thing on your mind, the Sugoi Men's RS Firewall Bib tights are the toasty layer you need to get outside and ride.

The warmest of the Sugoi winter line, the RS Firewall Bib Tights are constructed of Sugoi's Firewall 260 fabric. This a 3-layer softshell fabric comprised of a knit fabric with a breathable polyurethane membrane. The fabric gives full range of motion, stretch, and comfort. The dual-action wicking and breathability from the inside, combined with wind and water resistance on the outside, protects you in the coldest winters. The tights feature a soft brushed interior so you don't need to layer shorts underneath. In addition to the Firewall 260, the tights also feature inserts of Subzero -- a stretch, wicking fabric -- that has been treated with a durable water repellent finish to give the tights an added layer of protection against the elements, while retaining their form-fit.

The straps of the bibs are Sugoi's Mobil Mesh, a breathable airy fabric, which helps wick the inevitable moisture buildup. The bibs feature a full back and high waist for complete, under jersey, coverage -- you won't have any more chilly spots at your waist. A seamless front panel and flatlock stitching add comfort against your skin. Removable stirrup bottoms customize the fit based on your personal preferences.

The RS Firewall Bib Tights include the Formula FX chamois. This 4-way stretch chamois is a perforated, seamless knit that provides maximum ventilation and vibration dampening. The smooth top surface is molded with a welded center channel for added pressure relief.

The Sugoi Men's RS Firewall Bib Tights are available in sizes Small through XX-Large in the color Black.

    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: M then L

I'm a 'tweener when it comes to sizing, always between M and L depending on how the sizing runs. I think I'm a true medium top and large bottom but switch with size variations. I was definitely a large in these! I'd say they run slightly small since the Ls are snug and the Ms were way small. The attention to detail is incredible. I've got lots of very nice cold weather gear since I'm a year-round bike commuter in Philly and these are my new favorites. Comfy with fantastic performance under windy, wet and generally sloppy conditions. Perform great on road and mountain. Wash and wear nicely no matter how much dirt gets on them. Very well-designed chamois. Like the zipper in the front. It's a nice touch and shows their attention to detail but I don't think it was necessary in my case.

    Favorite Winter Bib Tights!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I have limited experience as I have only ridden Castelli Legerrezze2 and Castelli Surpasso, and Pearl Izumi Elite Thermal Barrier with 3D Chamois, also Pearl Izumi Amfib Cycling Bib Tight with 3d Chamois. Also Gore Alpine-X2.0. Now I ride these Sugoi RS Firewall Bib Tight. The Sugoi by far have the best Chamios, as well as Gore, and for me the fit is excellent as PI's are a little too large for me, where as Castelli XL fit me well and are much more comfortable than PI's yet lack a good enough chamois but are not as warm as PI's! Although I do find the newer Proghetto X2 much better than the old KISS3, and PI's is just awful! The Sugoi Formula FX or FXE (nearly identical) are some of the best chamois in the business and only compare to Assos FI Mille S5's, the Gore Xenon 2.0 Chamois or Alpine X 2.0. The Sugoi RS is warm and so is Gore, I just personally find Sugoi products a little better fit for me.
