These knee length shorts feel great! Slim fit without being restrictive anywhere even when squatting down. I don't like that the chamois is white but it has a good pad. The purple looks really sheer and almost two-tone in the pic and they aren't like that at all. Solid purple with white trim. My new fav pair of shorts to race MTB in!!

I wore these shorts mtn biking in the Himalaya, they kept me warm, I received a ton of compliments and they protected my legs from scrapes/bruises. For warm evenings I could wear as shorts without the chammy and took them to the river for a dip. A must have all purpose touring short. I'm hooked and ordered a black pair.

I really like the shorts, the liner padding felt different than my regular bike shorts, but was great when I actually riding. The style is very cool. They do run large.

Good price, lite weight, durable ride.
These run large and rest right at the knee when riding.
The liner runs large as well. I didn't end up using the liner and rode with my own bibs underneath instead.

I should point out first that the Amethyst is definitely more purple than the photo leads on. A nice royal purple, nothing crazy. The first thing you might notice when you put these on (if you bought the right size) is how comfortable the liner is. Sugoi uses a quality chamois that protects and doesn't feel like a piece of wool between your legs. The liner fabric also breathes really well and doesn't feel like an extra layer under the shorts. The cut of the shorts is flattering and not overly baggy. They have a relaxed cut to them without being overly generous. The bottom hem sits right above my knee, so I don't look I am wearing man shorts or too much like a puritan. I am 5'9", 135 lbs and the medium fits with just a touch of extra room (which I prefer). I love these shorts so much I might just buy a pair in black. Well worth the money and great for commuting or mountain biking in.

The picture of these made them appear shiny and fast but when i got them they looked like old purple polyester. The inner thigh strip accents your privates in a weird way. No problems with the fit - I'm always a size small and the small fit perfectly. The gusset is supposed to be some fancy new design but feels like every other pair of bike shorts. The leg elastic is extremely sticky. If you make a pit stop and are a bit sweaty don't expect to get them back on any time soon.

I ordered a (L) and they are WAY to big in the waist and loose in the thigh, so I'm hoping the step down to a (M) will fit MY pear shape! 160, 5'9"....the large per the measurements provided should have worked so giving it a three star at the moment.

Well, LV'd the color and the stretch of these but sadly the medium was just to small...they need an inbetween size or to fix the crotch/inseam length on the large I guess. DRATZ. Sombrio seems to be the only short that fits me.
