Cover up and get riding.
Someone more important than us once asked 'have you ever seen the rain'. The answer is yes, and we've gotten caught off guard riding it without a proper jacket, too. Rock and roll romanticism aside, it's not an enjoyable experience, and had we been wearing the Sugoi Firewall 260 Jacket, our day would have felt thoroughly bluebird. With an anatomical fit made from top-shelf proprietary fabrics, the Firewall 260 Jacket is winter staple for any ride—check the tire pressure, run through the gears, and grab your jacket, sunshine isn't necessary for fun in the saddle.
Sugoi's Firewall 260 Jacket is made from a sophisticated blend of Sugoi's exclusive Firewall 180 and Subzero DWR fabrics. The Firewall 260 material's three-layer polyester construction features a polyurethane membrane and a light inner-brushing to provide ideal thermo-regulation while offering optimum breathability and moisture transfer, whereas the beefy Subzero fabric is utilized as the jacket's shell due to its poly/spandex blend. The lightweight material puts up a tough defense to cold weather with its wind resistance and water repellency, but it also creates an insulating boundary layer that retains core temperatures while allowing perspiration to pass to the surface. Together, the fabrics act in harmony, providing a consistent internal temperature that's free from the ailments of sweat or weather.
The technical fabric selection of the Firewall 260 Jacket is equally paired with an anatomical design. The Firewall fabrics create a stretchy knit that's soft and conforming to the body's contours, accentuating the jacket's cut and allowing a full range of motion and articulation. The jacket also features 360 degree reflective accents, and dual adjustable shockcords on the two welded front pockets.
The Sugoi Firewall 260 Jacket is available in sizes from X-Small to X-Large, and in the colors Amethyst/black and Black/amethyst.

- Familiarity: I've used it several times
This is a very good cool weather jacket. I have found that I am very comfortable wearing it with a long sleeve wool jersey with temperatures between 55 & 58. If it's lower than 55, I would add a base layer. The sleeves are just a tad long but that's ok. The fit is very good otherwise. I like that it has 3 pockets - 1 is somewhat small & on the back which is perfect for my house/car keys. It seems to be very well made. I'm pleased with this purchase.
