Summer training companion.
Transitioning from a summer race calendar requiring a pair of running shoes and a number pinned to your singlet to the world of cycling or triathlon is daunting. Sugoi's Brand Champions RS Pro Men's Short help smooth the transition—literally and figuratively—from the world of two feet to that of two wheels and a saddle. Building up a cycling wardrobe when your drawers are full of split shorts can be intimidating, but the RS Pro's solid construction will see you through your training miles reliably as you learn to fine tune your pedal stroke instead of your stride.
We certainly don't mean to pigeonhole the RS Pro as a strictly entry-level short. On the contrary, it's one of Sugoi's top-end offerings, constructed with a highly efficient mix of Revo and Ultra Aero fabrics that blend expert breathability with smooth surfaces that won't create extra drag when you're counting watts.
To keep you comfortable on everything from easy warm-up rides to long base miles, Sugoi lines the RS Pro with its Formula FX chamois, carved out and slimmed down to provide you with only the cushioning you need with no extra bulk. The wide, flat waistband remains securely in place as you're stretched out over the bars, with each leg hem secured by an Aero Band to prevent bunching fabric from interrupting your ride.

- Q & A
Comfortable but a few things wrong
- Fit: Runs large
- Size Bought: Large
I'll admit I do wear these more than my other new sets. The padding is perfect and very comfortable which is why I wear them more. What I don't like is the string at the waist, in fact it just came out after a wash and now I see the seams are fraying a bit on the padding. And I haven't owned/worn them that often. I agree with the comments below about the base of the shorts being a bit large and not really having grip. It is a shame to have anything negative to say because the padding is super comfortable.
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
- Fit: True to size

This is an excellent pair of shorts for any cycling activity whether you ride a Brompton or a Pinarello Dogma. Outstanding materials and workmanship and the graphics are terrific (nice to find something other than basic black...). The fit of the large size I bought (which is what I usually wear) was about perfect; very comfortable from thigh to waist; the drawstring in the waist is a nice detail and something I really appreciate in any cycling shorts, especially after they have been worn/washed a few times and tend to loosen up some. I would buy another pair in a heart beat. These ae probably the nicest cycling shorts I currently own.
Looks good, the fit . . . not so much.
These shorts look great. BUT the lowest part of the legs has no grip and is in fact wider than the upper part of the leg. So no grip and kind of floppy where the upper part is the usual nice Sugoi fit. Too darn bad.
