    Stride to ride.

While the industry typically uses "entry-level" as shorthand for a non-race bike, we can assert with comfort and confidence that the custom grips, saddles, and other features that set Strider's lighter, more expensive models apart from the "entry-level" 12 Classic Balance Bike probably won't be missed. The 12 Classic is designed for aspiring cyclists from 18 months to 3 years of age, providing a platform to transition from striding to coasting in order to learn the balance and handling skills necessary for eventually piloting a proper bicycle.

The balance bike's sturdy frame is rounded off with flat-free tires, an adjustable seatpost, footrests for gliding, and brake mounts so that — as the young rider's coasting skills increase — a rear brake can be added to keep things in check.

    Coolest kid in town!

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

Saw a toddler in PC rocking one of these and knew I had to get it for my nephew. He is a little young to ride it now, but cant wait to see him shred.

    18 month old

My kid is almost 19 months and loves this bike. I have to hold onto it right now for him, but he is sitting on the seat and I have him put his feet up to help him get comfortable on it. I don't really know the best way to transition them into it so this is working for us right now and for his size.

      His First Bike!

I got this for my God Son's 2nd Birthday and he loves it. He was so excited that he started riding it around the house right away without any instruction or training! Who needs training wheels when you start riding on a Strider!

        Gotta Start Em Young!

        • Familiarity: I've used it several times

The Strider 12 Classic Balance Bike is flat out amazing as a big use bike from the four wheeled infant bikes to possibly not even using training wheels on a kids' bike. The design is almost flawless when it come to growing the bike while the child grows so that the bike lasts from 18 months to 5 years old. The possible attachments and the sizing adjustment is eaesy througha one-size allen wrench and the colors, while a bit dull at times, are easy on the eyes. Only word of caution is that the fringe ages can come to size the bike weirdly for the little one so really take the time to size right for maximum enjoyment.

        Perfect for the Kiddo

This is a great product. Well thought out, easy to setup and adjust, and very durable. My 2 year old is still figuring the thing out, but it's easy to adjust it to his height, and he's getting better at it each day. This will teach him balance and give him confidence to transition over to a pedal bike when he's ready. I don't know if he or I am more excited about it.

          Money Well Spent

Hard to give this more praise than it has already received. We got this for our 2 year old and she enjoys it. She hasn't quite gotten the stride action down, but she is getting better and better. It is incredibly adjustable, so I foresee her getting plenty of use out of it.

            Money Well Spent

            Ditch the training wheels!

            • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

I purchased this as a gift for my nieces 3rd birthday and she took to it very quickly. I genuinely believe that the Strider is the best alternative to training wheels, and you can start their training at an earlier age.

            Raddest little ripper!!

This is the coolest bike for kids learning to balance! This works on so many more motor skills than you think! I started my daughter on this at 18 months and will grow with her until she is about five if I need it. The extra taller seat allows for more range.

              Raddest little ripper!!

              So much fun!

              • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

I got this for my niece who is 5 and she loves this so much. It's the perfect size for kids and made of really quality materials. I may have to buy another one for her sister who got super jealous when I gave it to her. Needless to say, this is awesome for kids.

              Best thing ever!

              • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

I bought one of these for my niece/nephew as christmas gifts, and seeing how quickly the progressed is amazing. The first time i watched my niece, she was just putting around, around 2 months later she was able to roll with her feet up and carry speed. I fully believe this is a better alternative to training wheels! It is also rad to see community push bike races that are forming around the country, getting kids more involved with cycling rather than sitting indoors. Strider Gets my thumbs up for approval.

              Great for kids

              • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

I got this for my 21 month of daughter and it was her favorite Christmas present. She is still getting the hang up pushing herself around but I can see improvement just over the last couple weeks. We all ride bikes in the family and I predict a smooth transition to a bike with pedals thanks to the Strider.
