Intro to Alaska Winter Mountaineering (semi-technical, non-glaciated)

A good way to train yourself for bigger, more remote mountains in Alaska is to get out into the mellower mountains frequently. Those who live near Anchorage and the Mat-Su Valley have the perfect training ground for big mountain climbs, as they are right next to the front range of the Chugach Mountains.
