Gap Year Gear List
By: Seth G Meehan
List Description
List Description
If you are doing a ski season as part of a gap year then hopefully my gear list will let you know what to buy.
I would, without a shadow of a doubt, not spend too much of your cash until you get to your destination.
I went out with some old ski clothing and not much else. I then came home with a whole set up and then some. I am returning to make Park City, Utah my home.
There is a lot of discounts and bargains to be had. If the resort doesn't give you a discount then the workers will.
Most people you meet in ski resorts help each other out when and if they can. So if you are good to them, they will be good to you.
We live by the 'bro-code'.
We don't make much cash so if I can get you discounted rentals/repair you can get me free food, etc, etc.
This list is of gear that I either personally own or from people that I trust know their stuff. Tried and tested, not a wish list.
I have picked items that are also not too expensive, but when it comes to dropping the BIG BUCKS, BUY YOUR OWN BOOTS! I had a lot of problems and it can make riding really frustrating/painful!
I hope it helps you.
