Sam is right! I've skied the 185 cm Kuro the last two years and have to say this is my favorite ski of all time. I test skis every year for a local shop and fell completely in love with this ski when I tested it three years ago. This ski handles everything well and excels in powder and crud because of its perfect rocker shape and flex. But the most impressive part about this ski is its ability to, not only handle groomers, but to lay deep GS trenches on anything short of bulletproof glass, due to its sidecut and torsional stiffness. I'm a 5'11, 210lbs, aggressive skier and this is my ONLY ski for all conditions, backcountry and snow kiting!

mtv is right! I have the '09s and these skis are just sick. I'm 195lbs, 6'3", pretty aggressive, and I use the Kuro 196 cms in almost all conditions. The edge control is amazing, almost like a snowboard. Very powerful ski. You can basically ski GS turns on anything from hardpack to deep powder. I've had them up to 50mph on hardpack (as measured by gps), and I'm here to tell you that the Kuro is one seriously versatile ski. (my only complaint is that I miss the experience of waist-deep powder... no matter how deep, once up to speed you are on top. That, and fielding questions from people on the chairlift can get to be a pain... ;-) i.e. "how big are those things?", etc.)

How are they for skiing trees? Did you desire something more nimble?

Wow! Amazing... Borrowed a pair for the day at Snowbird and was amazed at how well they handled... even on the groomer(not a groomer ski for sure). In 2 ft of fresh there was still half the tip above the snow. Super easy to turn with the full rocker but wanted to slide a bit with the turn.

Very good in trees, they turn with almost no effort, just turn your feet, think of the shap you are only turning about 20 cm of base on snow. Standing in the lift line not moving you can turn them...
