Pro-tec IPS Hip Pads - Men's

Rating for this product: 2 December 27, 2007

I figured for $50 I might as well not be sore from falling on my butt the next day. First day wearing them I only fell once and it was at a standstill just before heading down. Some random girl knocked into my board and I fell flat on my butt. The pads did absolutely nothing. When I got home I checked them out more carefully than before I had bought them. The foam is super low-density (easy to squish) and did absolutely nothing for me. Now I'm out $50 and I'm stuck on the couch cause my butt hurts too much to ride :(

Great, if you need all the space

DAKINE Camera Block Bag - 800 cu. in.

Rating for this product: 4 July 11, 2007

I bought the DAKINE Ridge pack to use with the Camera Block for my Canon XTi package. I only own 3 lenses and none of them are huge zooms (EF-S 10-22, EF 50 f1.4 and EF 75-300 which is not very big) My biggest complaint for my application its too big. I can fill it up if I lay all my lenses down but then they bobble everywhere since there's almost 2 inches of space between the lens and the top-flap. If I stand the lenses upright they fit nice and snug but I only fill half the block and my backpack is filled up with padded empty space. I wish it was about 3 inches shorter and and inch or two shallower. However I know that people who have a full package fill it to the brim so it definitely does its job. I also wish it came with more padded dividers, another 2 would have been perfect. The only other downfall for me is when you buy the DAKINE Sequence backpack the block has hook-and-loop strips on the side to mate with the backpack. The separate Block doesn't have this hook-and-loop. Not a really big deal but I would have liked it since I was planning to add hook-and-loop into my Ridge pack. Oh well, still one of the best camera systems around :)
