A Nice Watch

Suunto Advizor Watch

Rating for this product: 5 June 10, 2007

I've had the watch for a month now and it functions well. It provides compass, barometer, temperature, altimeter, and regular watch functions. It does have a light even though the buttons appear to not support a light. Of course the altimeter must be adjusted frequently to avoid barometric pressure problems. The temperature is only accurate if it is not attached to your wrist. The only small problem with it is viewing the display from an angle doesn't work. The LCD display is not a supertwist crystal. The X6HR has a better display and the computer hookup if that is important to you, but it also costs more. On the plus side, the buttons are big and easy to push, the pivot ring stays put when not turning it. The LCD is large and easy to read when viewing head-on. Overall, I'm happy with the watch.

Good Boot, Good Price

Asolo Fugitive GTX Hiking Boot - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 August 10, 2006

The boots worked great. Broke them in by wearing for a couple of weeks. Wore them on a 4 day backcountry trip (around 20 miles) in the Jewel Basin south of Glacier. They rubbed on one heel a little, but no blisters. The heel cup is pretty deep and that caused the rubbing, but also gave plenty of stability. They are lightweight enough to wear every day.
