Easy to open
Black Diamond Rocklock Carabiner
September 25, 2008
Some locking carabiners require two or three hands to open, but this one can easily be opened using just one. The action is smooth, the biner works well, and I have no complaints. Except for maybe the price, rock climbing gear is alway expensive, but all in all, this carabiner is worth the money.

How does this device compare to the regular petzl reverso?
Slick like Ice
Black Diamond ATC Belay Device
August 28, 2008
I have a very old ATC like this and I just ordered the Petzl Reverso because lowering a top rope rappel has two speeds on this ATC; too fast, and way too fast. I'll admit that it is tried and true, but technology changes for a reason. There is a reason that companies don't make belay plates anymore, and there is a reason that better belay devices have come on the market.

Osprey womens packs for guys
Osprey Packs Luna 85 Backpack - Women's - 5100cu in
September 26, 2006
Yea, I love my Osprey Luna, I took it on my trip to the Grand Tetons, and it was great. It was comfortable and spread the weight evenly. I am a little guy, and the Crescent doesn’t come in a small, so I opted to get the Luna, and I couldn’t be happier. The only difference that I can tell is the color, which I got the green, or "jade", but other than that, they are pretty much identical to the Crescent, just smaller. The pack performed well, and had a great capacity, not only in the main compartment, but it was easy to strap things on to the packs outside. I love it.
