this is a great boot
Scarpa T1 Telemark Ski Boot
March 13, 2007
This boot is a significant advance. I've skied T2s and T1s for >10 yrs and the past two years have had T-races. The 4th buckle makes the performance of this boot higher than the old T-race, they're stiffer and offer more support when they are cranked down. I believe the weight is the same. The fore-aft stability is really great if you ski aggressively. I have only toured a couple of days in them but they were comfortable skinning in after loosening the buckles, though again I haven't been out on them for multi-hour multi day trips yet, but I plan to soon, I don't foresee any pain there.

good, but glue problem
Black Diamond Ascension Nylon Clipfix Skins
May 21, 2006
Mechanically, these skins are fine, the clipfix system works great and the skins climb very well. I had a serious problem with the glue however. It is so soft and tacky it sticks to my ski bases, even after they have been freshly waxed. The problem was worse in warmer weather or when the skins were on the skis and put in the sun to dry. The problem also occurred in the cold though. Maybe it was a bad glue batch from BD, I wonder if any others had this problem.
