CW-X Pro Tights - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 March 17, 2008

Very Nice Tights. Spent 3 days at 8hrs a day chasing a 14 year old boy who loves the glades in Whistler/Blackcomb. By the way I am 190 lb 5ft 9in relatively fit 51 year old Guy. I picked up the large size with the advice of the Gear expert and never felt better. The tights are of very good quality and are like having little springs attached to the critical moving parts on your legs and back. Give these a go if you would like to put bounce back in your step.

Second Pair

Salomon GCS Pro Trail Running Shoe - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 April 2, 2007

These are my second pair in 18 months. I am partial to performance shoes as they seem to be designed with all sorts of orthopedic issues in mind. I am no a Trail runner, so don't think I am an extreme athlete. These shoes do it all for me, Great foot bed for my arches. Easy to put on, tie up and untie. Cool in the gym and around the campsite. Rain, puddles, and beach are no problem. Feet do not smell after wearing them with out socks. Really nice to walk and run in with the nifty heal and sole flex point. I would have opted for a different colour but I like the shoes so much and the price including shipping, tax and exchange made them a no-brainer compared to the 150.00 price in Canada. (What I paid initially for the first pair) I would do it again even at the 150.00 price. One negative- the tread wears down a little too quickly. My Vasque still have tread and I were them in the same environments. I’ll have to manage my shoe usage better Good for Solomon

Nice and comfy.

Spyder Field Fleece Pant - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 January 14, 2007

I wear them to the GYM as the side snaps work well when I am too tuckered to take off my runners and change. They wash fine (daily) and haven't lost their colour since Dec. Good deal.

Hestra XCR Short Glove

Rating for this product: 5 May 18, 2006

This is the second pair of Hestras in as many months. I took both pairs out to ski the Canadian Rockies and as it happened the micro climate between Banff and Sunshine proved that you can never have enough gloves. Both pairs were well received. These XCR shorts were perfect in the cold sunny day in Sunshine and Deep powder in the back Bowls of Lake Louise. The Guide Leather Gloves were perfect for the before and after events that require a comfortable glove that does the downhill as well as the Après ski. I first tried the Guide Leathers in the Hills of the Laurentians which sold me on them. They Soften and mold to your hand, they flex around the poles, keep the heat in and cold out. FYI-Get the Leather Balm and work it in to the gloves. You are good to go! A little pricey in Canadian standards (Exchange, shipping and border duty).

Smith Prodigy Spherical Goggle Replacement Lens

Rating for this product: 5 May 18, 2006

My other goggles (name withheld) were scratched. The rep forgot about me. No replacement lenses could be easily found. See ya! I am glad to have found these puppies. They’re comfortable in all conditions. I ski in almost anything and they have not let me down once. Smart looking too!
