Great all around pants
Sherpa Adventure Gear Sirdar Convertible Pant - Men's
September 13, 2007
I took these pants on a weekend trip to the mountains and they worked out great. They are very lightweight, protected me from the wind a little bit and fit pretty well. The shorts are great, they're a comfy cut but still very good for climbing around. The side pockets are tiny and can just hold the zipped off lower legs. They're cut a bit tight on the thighs but I find that most pants these days are, good thing they stretch very well. My only problem is that even though they stretch I need to pull up the knees of the pants at times because the zippers get hung up on my knees and hinder flexibility.

Pretty good
Backcountry.com Shift Softshell Jacket - Men's
May 23, 2007
I bought this softshell while comparing it with some more expensive jackets. I didn't know if I wanted one with a hood or not, now I realize that I want one with a hood and one without. This jacket is decently warm for being thin and it's great at blocking out wind. Construction is solid, I would like thumbhole cuffs and a pass through pocket to route MP3 headphones. Otherwise it's everything I'd ask for in a simple softshell jacket.

Just Great
Icebreaker BodyFit200 Legless Pant - Men's
May 23, 2007
I bought one back in the late fall to use for skiing. I just started to look at merino wool for base layers and Icebreaker makes some great products. I stayed warm without overheating. The pants didn't smell unlike some synthetics I have. And there was no itching either. Since my first trip I have bought a few more sets.
