This is a soft, comfortable, stretchy hoody, but I took everyone's advice and ordered a size up. I also washed it with cold water and hung to dry to minimize shrinking. I'm generally a small in North Face clothing, so I ordered a medium, and it's none too big. It fits well, close to the body, but not too snug.

I have a Capilene 4 short from 6 years ago that far exceeds the weight and warmth of the newer styled Capilene. The fit is now much narrower--I generally wear an XS, but go up in size for Patagonia's underwear. I ordered a M, and it was still on the snug side--I like to wear a light-weight silk underwear as a first layer, and the Capilene as a second. I think the improvements made in recyclable materials have compromised warmth and fit.

I love the fit of this zip-neck: long and length, slim in fit, but extremely comfortable and not too snug.

Normally, I wear a small or extra small. Neither of those sizes fit me with these pants (too small) and I had to return them . I ordered a medium, and it's enormous! So, I'm returning the mediums now. Too bad, because the material is so cozy.

Aside from the styling, which I found too shiny and sleek for my liking, the fit of this jacket was much smaller than other North Face jackets I have. Although it is touted as warm, warm, warm, I walked around the house in it and was cold, cold, cold. I returned this item.

Love this sweater! True to size, not itchy, with a bright pattern that livens up a winter day.

These bottoms are wonderful for pajamas here in the cold north! I buy a size up for extra comfort, but it appears that they are true to size. Definitely not as warm as Capilene 4 and a nice midweight with a low profile.

Love the length of this mid-weight layer, both in sleeves and torso. No skimping here! I actually use this as a pajama top, and it's wonderfully warm.

I love the colors of this sweater, along with the weight. It's a stylish, close-but not-too-close fit, and the wool is soft and not at all itchy.

The Lora is a warm mid-layer hoodie. So comfortable and appears to be true to size. Very soft and cozy.

I have the poodle jacket in a zip, size XS. It fits perfectly, and so I ordered the hoody in the same size. This did not come close to fitting, and it was quite evident that even a small wouldn't fit. I could barely get it on, and I am generally a size 2. So sorry, Mountain Hardwear, but your sizing is inconsistent. Order up one or two sizes for this fleece.

These pants are super terrific! They're comfy, stretch nicely without being heavy, and are very versatile.

I love this vest! It's perfect for layering under a puffy jacket or even a dressier coat. It keeps me toasty warm and has made a vast difference in preventing the wind from freezing my core.

I was disappointed in this coat. Although it appears warm, the cut of the coat is very tight under the arms. I went up a size to see if this would make a difference, and I was left with a coat that was overall too big, but still tight under the arms. I'm usually happy with The North Face, but not this time.
