Comfortable t-shirt, runs big

Arc'teryx Arc Tools T-Shirt - Men's

Rating for this product: 3 June 30, 2008

Overall a comfy, soft t-shirt. I really like the Jalapeno color; can't find many t-shirts in that color. The graphics are pretty small, which I like. The shirt runs big though; I was thinking Arc Teryx ran their clothing fairly form fitting. Not this! This is not a form fitting shirt - I ordered a Small and it's still a bit baggy! Will keep it, but generally prefer form fitting.

Great short, run big

Venom Wall Bike Short - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 June 30, 2008

I generally wear these shorts for biking to work, and for general around town use. The vents on them are great in my opinion; the inner thigh vents zip open and closed, while ones in the back don't. I really like the inseam, and the material's good at repelling water (and food). They sit about an inch below my knee, and I'm 6'1". These run seriously big though; I'm a 30-32 waist and I mistakenly ordered a Medium. It was massive! Returned them for a Small and I still wear a belt, but tolerable. Order a size smaller than you think you need!

Great short, run big

Venom Wall Bike Short - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 June 30, 2008

I got these shorts mostly for biking to work and for just all around chilling out. The vents are great, both in the back and inner thighs (only the thigh ones are zippable). I really like the inseam, it lands just below the knee and I'm 6'1". They're built really well, and I highly recommend them. Note that they run seriously big - I wear generally a 30 or 32 waste, and I mistakenly ordered a Medium and it was massive! Returned it for a Small, and I even need a belt with that. Seriously, order one size smaller than you think you need!

Lots of features, a little heavy

Mountain Hardwear Trance Backpack - 3350cu in

Rating for this product: 4 October 26, 2006

I don't have much to compare this pack to as it's my first real weekend pack, however it feels a bit heavy and awkward at times. I cannot quite get it situated fully comfortably on my back. On the other hand, it's a reasonable price, along with lots of features that make the pack very versatile. I'd still recommend it.

Great ski pant!

Mountain Hardwear Exposure II Bib - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 January 2, 2006

I wear these for skiing, and have worn them out three times now. It's a very comfortable pant, and with a good base layer, very warm as well. I love the bib part, as it goes up fairly high in the front and back, and is made of a stretchy material. The reason I gave 4 instead of 5 is because the side zippers are constantly getting the underneath material stuck in them. Other than that frustration, it's a great ski pant!

Toasty warm for skiing!

Mountain Hardwear Monkey Man Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 January 2, 2006

I wear this under the Mountain Hardwear Manticore softshell, along with a light base layer, and I'm toasty warm and comfortable all day! As another post said, definitely wear a wicking layer under this, as you will sweat. The jacket is very lightweight, and very warm as well. They seem to size a little small. I wear a medium in almost everything, and I had to get a large of this as I couldn't zip it up all the way. Otherwise, order this thing!

Works well as a ski shell

Mountain Hardwear Manticore Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 January 2, 2006

I wear this over the Mountain Hardwear Monkey Man fleece, and a thin base layer, and I'm very warm and comfortable. It's definitely high quality, with all of the seams closed off, which stops virtually all wind and moisture. It has a nice trim fit and is very movable at the same time, with pit zips to top it off. Overall I'm very happy with it and plan to use it for several seasons ahead.

Functional and comfortable

CamelBak SnoBlast

Rating for this product: 4 January 2, 2006

This pack has numerous adjustments, which is great for making it fit on your body comfortably. It's not terribly big. However I use it for resort skiing, so I'm therefore only carrying maybe a fleece and some snacks in it. It's nice how the main pouch is expandable, so if you don't have much in it, it's not bulky feeling. It carries more than enough water for me for one day, and it's great how the tube has an insulated cover on it, as well as zipping into the arm strap. Strapping skis onto it is rather clumsy however, as there's really only two straps that go below each binding, and the skis are pressed together. It would appear they could have put more thought into carrying skis, hence the 4.

Warm and comfortable

The North Face TKA 100 Pant - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 November 17, 2005

I wear these under my shell ski pants and they work great. They're fairly thick, which provides great warmth, however they're also very light and comfortable. They have a great fit as well.

A different kind of hat!

The North Face Vector 2 Beanie

Rating for this product: 4 November 17, 2005

I was definitely surprised when I pulled this hat out of the box! It's a very thin material and I was a little skeptical. However, having worn it out the first day yesterday, my skepticism is gone! It's very comfortable and quite warm as well. Be warned if you have long hair, as you have to pull it down hard over your head! It got 4, instead of 5, stars because of the sunglasses bow holders, who wears sunglasses skiing? I (along with most) prefer goggles!

Good quality

The North Face El Cap Delta - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 November 17, 2005

This shirt definitely works well as an under layer, as well as looking stylish. It does a good job of pulling sweat away from the skin, which unfortunately has the effect of it getting wet quickly! Good buy overall.

Somewhat of a disappointment

Mountain Hardwear Elevation Glove

Rating for this product: 3 November 17, 2005

I purchased this glove thinking it was, in fact, an all year glove. I had them out yesterday in 30F weather and my finger tips were quite cold. Granted I took a few diggers in the powder, I still expected more out of them.
