Great BC ski shell
Mountain Hardwear Torch Jacket - Men's

The Torch replaced a 12 year old Patagonia soft shell as my primary backcountry skiing jacket. This thing really does it all; from very cold, windy tours where the hood and soft, tall collar come in handy to sunny, aerobic days where the core and pit ventilation are perfect. It is a little shorter at the waist than some jackets so try before you buy. At 5'9" and 160# the medium is a great fit for me.
