Sleep Well

Big Agnes Diversion Insulated Air Core Pad

Rating for this product: 5 August 13, 2008

Although this pad is slightly heavy in comparison to others, nothing beats a great nights sleep while backpacking! The material is very durable and keeps you nice and warm by keeping you a few inches above the ground. A great investment for a good night's sleep plus it's recycled material so it's also a great investment for the planet! It also comes with a convenient repair kit just in case.

Down Bag

Granite Gear Drylite Rock Solid Compression Sack

Rating for this product: 5 August 13, 2008

Great for a down sleeping bad since it is water proof. This is my second one purchased and both of them are great. Compresses to a very small size plus it doesn't add much weight. Always a nice bonus when backpacking.

Sleep Tight

Big Agnes Dual Core Sleeping Pad - Rectangular

Rating for this product: 5 August 13, 2008

I bought this for my boyfriend and he loves it. He got the best nights sleep while backpacking. Although it is fairly heavy, it is a good sacrifice for a good nights sleep. The material is very durable (there is a convenient repair kit included just in case). The thickness of the pad also seems to help with staying warm.

Great Oragnic Cotton

prAna Elisa Organic Capri Pant - Women's

Rating for this product: 4 August 13, 2008

I love the soft organic cotton material. I wore them backpacking and loved them, but I also wear them for yoga, and just around the house. I bought a small and they are slightly tight, but the medium would have been too big. Once I wore them for a while they seemed to loosen up.

WARM

Patagonia Footwear Gingko Winter Boot - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 June 19, 2008

These boots allowed me to survive the winter! Great for trekking through the snow and keeping your feet warm and dry. The fold over top makes them a little too bulky to wear under jeans but over jeans they look great. The whole boot is lined with fleece which always kept my feet warm, sometimes HOT. I loved the quilted pattern since it was different than all the other boots you see women wearing. Run true to size and stretch out a little after wearing them for awhile.

I LOVE IT

Patagonia Kamala Skirt - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 June 19, 2008

I went to Hawaii and took this skirt and it was what I wore for most of the time. It was nice enough to walk around in, wear as a cover up to the beach (it doubles as a dress), or wear out to dinner. The ties are fun and lend a lot of versatility. When converted to a dress it is a little short for my liking, but I didn't mind wearing it as a cover up. I plan on making this a staple of my wardrobe when traveling or just staying around town. The organic cotton is super soft and airy. I would love to buy another one, but there are none left in my size.

snow mover

Backcountry Access Tour System Shovel/Probe

Rating for this product: 4 March 12, 2008

Lightweight, collapsible, packable, and can move some serious snow. What more could you ask for? Aside from a longer probe I guess.

A great fit....very comfortable! The sturdy design and ankle support allow for all day ski runs. Lightweight, but warm enough to be the only footwear during winter camping.

Best Pack

Osprey Packs Ariel 65 Backpack - Women's - 3800-4200cu in

Rating for this product: 5 August 8, 2007

One of the best women's specific packs I have ever found. It is SUPER lightweight which is always a plus. Also, the day pack utilizes the custom molding hip belt, which makes it extra comfortable. I would recommend this pack to everyone. Also, the lifetime warranty is great.
