Awsome set-up

Crazy Creek Crazy Crib w/ Tarp

Rating for this product: 5 February 17, 2006

This hammock exceeded my expectations. The tarp alone is worth the cash. It's extra light, extra heavy duty(the straps are way reinforced), and the best part: no pesky poles to pack, meaning you can fold the carry bag in half or stuff it into a smaller bag to save space. The seams come factory taped and touch-up stuff comes with it. And one of those things you may have not thought of until it was two late: The straps on the hammock are equipped with a rain guard that keeps rain from dripping down off the tree, under the tarp and into your sleeping quarters.

my favorite ski pants ever

Salomon Symbio Pant - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 February 17, 2006

These fit like jeans, feel like sweatpants (a microfleece lining makes them cozy and warm enough to wear against the skin), and keeps out the elements like a dream. Pros: built in gaiters, no menacing zippers, no crazy cargo pockets, slight stretch makes for a better range of movement, they have a guard on the back of the hem to keep them from getting trashed from walking on pavement. Cons: I don't want to take them off.

Good Jacket

Salomon 3 Mixer Symbio Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 February 17, 2006

It’s roomy enough to fit a fleece under when it gets extra cold, light and waterproof enough to use as a rain jacket while riding my bike to work in a rainy Spokane winter. Highly wind and water resistant (It's kept both out entirely). It has an ample amount of pockets (1 left sleeve, goggle wipe cloth included in left chest located under flap, right chest inside main zipper, 2 exterior hand, 2 interior non-zipping on reverse of exterior hand pockets). Plus it has a powder skirt, cinch hem, and a fantastically adjustable/easily removable hood.

Really nice, not essential

Snow Peak Titanium Spork

Rating for this product: 5 September 20, 2005

The spork is great. It is the most versatile design ever. It allows you eat anything from chicken breast to soup (I've tried both) without you having to eat chicken with a spoon or soup with a fork. But if you only car camp, or plastic silverware is sturdy enough for your eating needs, it is really not essential. But in this case, overkill doesn't create much of a problem, if the price doesn't bother you.
