material is no better or worse than Ikea nylon, definitely not a soft product. Good enough for the purpose - I bought this to hold my exercise ball as a sling pocket hanging from a ceiling hook.

Nice comfortable loose-fitting Jeans. Great pocket linings. Not really black, just a dark indigo wash. Wish they had not pre-holed the knees, I will do that soon enough. Half the price of similar jeans.
