Worth it!

Patagonia R1 Pant - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 February 22, 2006

I was hesitant buying a pair of pants for $80, but they are so warm that they are worth every penny. They have non-pinching waistband and ankles, tapered to match your body. I would consider this a little heavier than medium weight, great for those snowy days on the slopes.

Fits everything, including me.

Burton Wheelie Board Case

Rating for this product: 5 February 22, 2006

It is too big if all you have is a snowboard and boots. Even if you have two boards and two sets of boots, you could forget the suitcase and put all your clothes in here too.

not quite a backpack, not quite a suitcase

Burton Roller Pack - 2450 cu in

Rating for this product: 5 February 22, 2006

I have mixed feelings bout this bag. As a backpack it doesn't sit right on the hips and therefore awkward to carry. If you lay it on the ground to get into it, and then put it on your back. Well, your back gets dirty. As a suitcase, the top doesn't stay open when laid on the ground and when fully expanded and stuffed, it doesn't stand up because the feet are in the middle of the bag not at the end. The inside is sparse and not padded. It's great for putting other bags and containers filled with your things. The laptop compartment is awkward, it should be closer to the back or the bottom. That being said, it sure looks great and matches my snowboard bag exactly!

Not quite as amphibious as i thought

Salomon Pro Amphibian Shoe - Women's

Rating for this product: 4 October 7, 2005

I purchased these shoes for a trip to Costa Rica. i had these and my sister had KEEN sandals. I think her feet fared better than mine. The mesh lining in these shoes is great for letting water out, but bad for trapping sand in. The shoes stay wet longer than the KEENs so my feet were constantly wet. The heel that folds down so that you can wear it like a slipper is great. It's actually too high when you wear it like a sneaker, so it rubs the back of the achilles tendon. I didn't like these shoes for anything amphibious, but they were perfect for the rain forest hike and they’re super easy to clean: just rinse. These shoes aren't made for the water, but for land that might be slightly wet or dirty.
