Kelty Chinook Sleeping Bag: 20 Degree Quallofill

Rating for this product: 4 September 14, 2005

After a few nights out under the stars I'm sold on Kelty's ability to make a great bag. The only minor complaint that I have is that the zipper tends to get stuck in the material just before the top of the bag. It's not a big deal but a minor annoyance. Other than that it's a great mummy bag for throwing in the truck and sleeping out on the hammock.

Spy M2 Sunglasses

Rating for this product: 4 September 14, 2005

The M2 is one of the spin off of the original Scoop frame. Its closest sibling is the Micro Scoop. The Shades fit great, just like the Micro Scoop but with a little more attitude. The only thing that I wish they had was rubber in the nose piece area. But that's a small desire because I love these shades.

Smith Frontline Max Sunglasses

Rating for this product: 5 September 14, 2005

I loved these shades so much that when I lost them in the lake jet skiing, I had to order a replacement pair. These are the sunglasses that I wear when I'm being active, so they see plenty of use when on the cycling, running or playing field sports. The lenses work well enough and the nose piece doesn't tear up my nose. They are perfect for what I ask them to do, stay on my face.

Mid Weekend Getaway

DAKINE Boot Locker Duffel - 4200cu in

Rating for this product: 4 July 18, 2005

The best part about the DAKINE Boot Locker Duffel is that it's perfect for more than just hitting the slopes. With the paneled support for the bottom pocket the bag keeps its shape and provides ample room for gear in the main compartment. The straps no-slip grip is great when your hands are full and you don't want the bag to slide down to your elbow. The only thing they could have done better was to make the bag waterproof. Other than that, it's a rock solid piece of equipment that will get your gear from here to there.
