roomy bag=not so warm

Big Agnes Roxy Ann Sleeping Bag: 15 Degree Down - Women's

Rating for this product: 3 May 10, 2007

I used this bag w/the dual core insulated pad. It's rated as a 15 degree bag, but where I was never dipped below 37 degrees at night (according to weather underground) and unless I was wearing long underwear, including socks, I was cold. Not underneath, thanks to the sleeping pad,or on the sides, but on top. Remember, girls (& guys?) that mummy bags are designed that way to be efficient. When I was appropriately dressed, however, I appreciated the non-constricting shape.

Kelty Sunshade

Rating for this product: 5 September 19, 2006

I got the Kelty medium Sunshade about 2 months ago & have had it set up on the deck. We've used it for the outdoor wi-fi, yoga & sleeping. It's great for sleeping outside if it's only raining lightly. If it's more than breezy while it's raining, we get wet. Best, though is the customer service. When I took the 'shade down, I found that one section of a pole was cracked lengthwise. I called Kelty, got a return authorization number, and, since I work in the area, brought it there the next day. They replaced the entire pole on the spot. Faced with a similar situation, North Face took 6 weeks to send a pole section to a metallurgist, then refused to replace even just that section because they said it looked like we'd slammed it in a car door. Just as we'd told them we'd done in order to completely break the already bent pole to make it usable.
