These toasty little buggers have become my shoveling boots, pre and apres ski boots. Extremely easy to slip on/off. The Bota Bags are high in volume, normally I wear a 10.5. I probably could have sized down to a 10 but I don't mind the extra room.

Not much else to say. Classy, comfortable and extremely well constructed. If you're gun shy about the price just pull the trigger. Your feet will thank you.

I have a pair of these in my La Sportiva's and love them. Never any problems with impact while running on Xtremely rocky trails.

Your first problem was buying them from REI! I'd recommend wearing the shoes around the house for a week or so before any gnarly runs - this keeps them in "new" condition and makes returning/exchanging them easier. Next, start slow! Make gnarly 6 mile up hill runs after the shoes have been broken in. New footbeds (ex: Montrail Eunduro's, Super Feet) are sometimes an easy fix for ankle/achilles rub. The extra thickness gives a bit of additional height which will relocate the rub zone.

Oceanman, maybe your sandals were from a "bad batch" ? My Terra-Fi's have been hanging tough for a while now and I love them!

These shoes look fast! I love the fit and generous room in the toe box. Beware, the "quick-drying and breathable mesh uppers" are not removable.

Sandy - what did you do? did you return them to dogfunk or try to warranty them with circa? if the kicks are good enough for jon they def shouldn't have fallen apart.

I wore my Vato's everyday this winter and I absolutely LOVE THEM. Profiled like a Chukka but they fit WAY better. Buy some.

Then the Ice Storms are for you! Slip your foot in, crank the Boa and enjoy the snow!

My only complaint with these is the rounded toe box. I'm a C width and my little toes are kind of mashed in these kicks. It might not hurt to bump up a 1/2 size if you've got a wide foot.

These are the sweetest jeans I own. SUPER stretchy, super cool (temp-wise, yeah Cool-Max!) and mad stylin’. DC's attention to detail shines with these designer/skate jeans. Buy two pair.

There's no pom-pom on this beanie, but it is surprisingly warm given the loose-knit construction. It pretty much kicks ass in general, and I plan on purchasing another one this season.
