Itchy Scratchy
Merrell Merino T-Shirt - Short-Sleeve - Men's
April 28, 2008
I thought these shirts would be a great deal but I found them to be itchy. Fit and build was nice but the wool was a little more coarse than others I have seen and it was itchy. Perhaps others would be more tolerant but I couldn't do it as a base layer.

Nice shirt. Well made, normal fit. Blends in for casual use but has some nice touches you would expect from Cloudveil.

La Sportiva Cirque Pro Approach Shoe - Men's
October 4, 2006
I thought these shoes were very well built but decided to return as they were a little too narrow, and built like a climbing shoe. I wanted a more traditional day hiker with better cushioning. If you are after a more tech shoe with full rand all the way around, and are ok with the narrow snug fit (and the looks that come with it) then this shoe will likely be a performer. Rubber was sticky and marking. I should have taken the line about blurring the line between rock and trail more seriously.

5.10 Insight
Five Ten Insight Approach Shoe - Men's
October 4, 2006
I have had these a month or so, they fit well right out the box and the traction seems really good. I have done some small day hikes and expect them to perform well for all my needs. Fit was true for me.

Light protection
Polar Display Protection Shield
April 28, 2005
The watch is already pretty big but as I wanted to start wearing it during summer activities (hiking, mtn. biking, etc) I thought this might be a little cheap screen protection. It is a little hard to take on and off but seems to be doing an ok job. So far I have not torn it off. Sometimes the display is a little harder to read.
