Nixon The Rover Watch
November 11, 2005
I’ve worn my Rover watch casually for two years now. The buttons broke twice. They sent me a new one to replace the original one the second time because it couldn't be fixed and it was still within a year of my purchase. In less than a year later the band broke. Sweet! (One of the black composite pieces or whatever they are made of). It still tics. I just can't wear it.

Therm-a-Rest Ridge Rest Sleeping Pad
May 17, 2005
This lightweight pad creates a forgiving layer between you and the debris that you choose to sleep on (sticks, rocks, etc). That’s it. I’d much rather have this than nothing at all - even though it is bulky. If you're looking for luxury and comfort, stay home. I have the longer one, but if you're counting ounces and still want a pad, the smaller pad should suffice.

SOLID aggressive boot
Salomon Malamute Snowboard Boot
March 20, 2005
I thought I wouldn't like such a stiff boot, but it helps with my riding a whole lot. Turning is easier; less effort, more control, more support. The only downside is that a little part of the tongue was rolled in and hurt my foot under my ankle binding. Just a little thing that I took care of, although it likes to roll in from time to time while I’m riding and I have to take off my boot and adjust it. It’s not convenient at all. That just how the liner is though, and should not be a problem once it's formed better. If you're skeptical about getting a super stiff boot because you like to jib and sh... then don't be. You be happy with your purchase of this boot, if you are actually an aggressive rider and can handle anything that gets thrown at you. These boots help a whole lot, especially if your previous boots were like sneakers. It took about 3 days to get completely used to the stiffness.

Burton Ronin 2L Vent Pant - Mens
February 18, 2005
These pants are DONE after less than 2 years. Rips and holes all over them due to *normal* wear. They don't hold up! The waterproofing is horrible, especially if you are in a wet or warmer climate. I suppose they'd make great resort pants, but if you do a lot of backcountry they just don't perform. BTW, I had some Burton gloves and Ruler boots that wore out in less than one year. No success in warranty claims. The quality that used to be.......Burton.

Burton Ruler boot
Burton Ruler Snowboard Boot - Mens
January 17, 2005
Provides a nice support for the first 7 or 8 days of riding. For an aggressive rider, this boot will break in following those 7 or 8 days and become a straight up freestyle feeling boot. Sure, you can still rock it freeriding, but the support won't all be there anymore. They were a little stiff for my liking at first, then suddenly they turned into sneakers. One year later, I'm in the market again for some more boots that won't lose their support as quick as these Rulers did. The Driver is TO stiff for me, but i'm thinking about it. Can't go wrong with Burton boots though. They fit my feet right, plain and simple.
