Smelly sweater

I order this sweater, it arrived and when I opened it I smelled a plastic/fake fabric/ chemical smell. The smell wasn't overly stinky just mild smell and bother me? I hung the sweater up for a day to see if it just needed to be aired out- because it is really cute. But still didn't fix the problem... I'm definitely sensitive to synthetic fabrics that are cheap. Too bad it's not wool - it would have been perfect.
