comfy socks
Burton Slopestyle Sock - Women's
January 21, 2007
Its true, these socks are so comfortable you'll wear them after riding and actually may not want to take them off. She has a size 7.5 shoe and she's using the small - a good fit. They pill a little but the softness and great padding are worth it!

Great pack for biking to school
The North Face Jester Backpack - 1850 cu in
November 27, 2006
Best things about it is the fit and book storage capacity. Pack fits well on over my shoulders and stays put while I bike to school. I hardly use the waist strap. The shoulder straps are way comfortable and the back pad is comfy. The main compartment is huge! I can fit up to 3 large textbooks (maybe more). The front pockets are good but I wish the compartments where better organized: The pen holders are a little to small for my thicker pens and the smaller compartments are so deep that my stuff kind of gets lost. Maybe there could be MORE individual compartments for easier access. The pack also stays dry in light rain. Overall, bullet-proof.

Solid, Sturdy and Can Turn Heads
Salomon Solaris Low Day Hiking Shoe - Men's
August 30, 2005
These shoes are fantastic. The big rubber toe guard worked to protect my precious feet. I even got a compliment from one beauty who thought they looked sexy. Anyways, I would highly recommend them. They are true to size and have great ventilation. The shoes may be a bit stiff, which provides a nice sporty ride but can be unforgiving. So make sure to lace 'em up snug and consider some good hiking socks.

good, but not wicked good
The North Face Parallel Crew Shirt - Short Sleeve -Men's
August 18, 2005
This shirt is quality, with great stitching and an embroidered stripe. It's NOT wicking, and it runs a little big, but it's super comfortable and looks good.

Great look, but maybe not for hiking
Vasque Pingora Approach Shoe - Men's
July 30, 2005
I was attracted to this shoe because it looks great and I thought, "this is me." But the shoe is narrow around the forefoot. Of course, maybe that's the way an approach shoe is supposed to fit and I thought I'd use it for hiking! I don't climb and if this shoe is supposed to be narrow and tight around the forefoot to help with climbing then I am in the wrong. Great finish and wonderful craftsmanship, though, I would go a half size up.
