Fit my 3-year-old ripper!
Red Trace 0.5 Helmet - Kid's
January 7, 2008
I picked up the Trace .5 for a 3-(now 4)-year-old with a small head. It seemed to be the only helmet out there for kids with head sizing <20". I am pleased that it does fit very well, works well with goggles, and gives the little ripper some protection. We use a balaclave with a fleece neck and a thin head covering under the helmet to boost warmth. Works great. Overall, I am very satisfied; good value for the money.

Does The Job
Black Diamond ClipWire Ski Leash
January 7, 2008
These leashes work very well with my G3 Baron-Rotafella Cobra-Scarpa T2 set up. The clip is easy to use, the leash never seems to be in the way, and I have no doubts about the strength. Great general use leashes.

Best Pants Around!
Marmot DriClime Side Zip Pant - Women's
November 9, 2007
My wife and I both wear Marmot DriClime pants for cross country skiing, snowshoeing, and cold weather hiking and running. We probably use them somewhere around 100 times a year. Just like their sibling, the classic DriClime Windshirt, these pants are truly a superior piece of gear. The inner microfleece feels great and provides surprising warmth. The outer nylon is tough and fairly water resistant. They move well during high aerobic activity. On very cold days we wear some sort of tights underneath and on very wet days or for very wet activities we switch to Gore Tex pants. But, overall, these pants are amazingly versatile, durable, and comfortable. Treat yourself!

Buy These Now!
Fischer Rebound Crown
October 19, 2007
This is an amazing deal! I have skied on these for several 100+ day seasons. Outside Mag picked them as the single most versatile nordic ski. I agree. I use them on a variety of ungroomed trails, and they kick and glide just fine on level ground, climb well, and are at their best on the descent. The sidecut makes for great turning for a nordic ski. If you ski ungroomed trails, buy these now!
