Kelty Junior Tioga External Frame Backpack - 2050 cu in

Rating for this product: 3 July 26, 2004

I order the Tioga Junior for my 8-year old daughter's first trip. The pack arrived quickly enough, I liked the service and ease of ordering. The pack is of so-so quality and kind of boring, with few interesting features to improve its basic functionality or appeal to its presumably younger target user. It handled the 10 +/- pounds I loaded for her first trip just fine. She didn't have any pain or problems until towards the end of the 3-day, 13-mile round trip.

The North Face Tigger Sleeping Bag: 20 Degree Polarguard

Rating for this product: 4 July 26, 2004

These sleeping bags are nice pieces of gear, if a bit pricey. My son (6) and daugher (8) fit in them well. The stuff sack and separate storage bag are quality, which makes a big difference when trying to pack up camp. My daughter carried hers on a 13-mile backpacking trip with me, and really enjoyed it. The warm and comfortable sleeping bag probably contributed to her enjoyment. She wants to do it again - what better review could she give?
