Exceptional underwear
Ex Officio Give-N-Go Full Cut Brief - Women's
April 23, 2008
I love these underwear. They are soooo comfortable and dry soooo fast. They are super soft, non-binding, and hand washable. They stretch and give with every movement. You don't even know they are on. I wear them every day. I chose the full-cut briefs because my hiking gear are all waist high (as opposed to hip-huggers. On the trail I can simply pull everything down and everything up in one swoop. Important when you are trying not to get caught in the "act". Plus, even little dribbles don't smell. They hand wash well. Even blood washes out. Of course, I love the black ones best as they never look dirty. Just so you know, the bikinis are made out of the same material as the full-cut briefs.

Native Dash XP
Native Eyewear Dash XP Sunglasses - Polarized
April 23, 2008
I love these glasses! I have three pairs of the Charcoal XP. They protect your eyes while still keeping your viewing area light. They cut the glare, not the colors. Colors are more vibrant. You can see the bottom of a river and the fish swimming in it. You can still hike with them, because you can see detail (unlike other glass that make everything too dark). Plus, they have air holes in the top so heat escapes and the glasses don't steam up. The XP fits my face well. I have a square face and they wrap around it well. The nose pieces are very comfortable. They have taken a lot of abuse and I still have no scratches.

The best
Patagonia Houdini Full-Zip Jacket - Women's
August 3, 2007
This is simply the best jacket I have ever owned. I wore it for three months on the Appalachian Trail. At 4 ounces, I took it instead of a fleece layer. I NEVER missed my fleece. It was as warm as fleece under my rain jacket, but gave me a versatility fleece never could. It stopped the wind and reflected my body heat. It easily tied around my waist or pack so it was always handy. The full zipper allowed for full venting. It covered my bum, so it didn't ride up under the pack. It dried in 10 minutes (unlike fleece)and the fabric is lusciously light and silky. The hood was handy in the early mornings to keep my ears warm until I warmed up. (So I didn't have to stop to remove and repack a hat.) Don't get me wrong, I still carried a heavy rain jacket (the Patagonia Rain Shadow) But this one surely works well in light or warm rain. What is was great for was a second layer without the bulk. You can still move in it. And you don't have to readjust you pack straps to accommodate the bulk. Plus, it seems to breath well. With a Patagonia base layer underneath, it adjusts to my body temperature well. I take it everywhere now. Not only for the possible rain shower, but for the cold theater or restaurant, as well.
