This harness, ATC device, chalk bag with chalk, and locking ‘biner are a good way to get started climbing. Black Diamond equipment is excellent, and this kit is no exception. It was recommended to me by a climbing friend, and I am very happy with the decision to buy.

The quality is first-rate, as you might expect from TNF. This material is very soft and comfortable. I got the medium size, which fits a little big larger than what you might expect, but not too bad. I like the zippered neck, especially.

This is another example of the great stuff I've bought from Patagonia. This base layer top is very nice.

The North Face duffel turns out to be tough, great-looking, and big enough to carry everything. Can't go wrong. I bought both the extra large and medium sizes. The medium is perfect for an extended weekend trip anywhere.
