The North Face Volt Jacket - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 July 16, 2008

This is my first TNF and it definitely is a great one! The stretch capability is amazing! So, good for my needs (running). I would suggest getting a size down because it is pretty roomy. By my measurements, I think I would have qualified for a small, but got a XS to be fitted. To be honest, the XS is actually like a small. Just shorter. I would recommend the XS only to short people like me (5'0-5'4). Taller skinny people would hate it. It fits me perfectly (XS), length-wise (but I have a short torso). This jacket is pretty roomy, I wish they would fit it a little more, but other than that I love this jacket!! The elastic on cuff really helps as well as the cinch cord to seal out wind. When layered with a fleece or underarmour, this jacket can do amazing things in the winter! As for summer nights...perfect! By the way, the sleeve length is not too long, just right. This jacket is a little thin, but does a good job of blocking most wind and breathes as you work out and move. Bottom line= great running jacket for 3 seasons (with layers in winter), breathes, stretches, resists most wind, keeps one dry in light drizzle. Cons= runs large (I can fit a sweatshirt underneath and I'm not even that skinny!), maybe too thin (perfect for my needs), short torso for tall peeps! Overall, great jacket! (Black is nice, too) Not to mention the service was fantastic and it came really quickly with the free shipping!! Thumbs up!

I just can't decide what size to get! That's always my problem....

The North Face TKA 100 Glacier 1/4 Zip Fleece Top - Long-Sleeve - Women's

July 15, 2008

I just can't decide what size to get! That's always my problem. I want this fleece to be fitting, and not loose, but not constricting either. My measurements are: bust=33in. waist= 27in. and hips=35in. So I really can't figure it out. Some say it fits tight but others say too loose! What size should I get??

Answer to: "Is this jacket fuzzy fleece like the Denali jacket or is it more..."

The North Face Windwall 1 Jacket - Women's

March 31, 2008

I don't own this jacket, but I tried it on once at a store. It has a very tightly woven fabric but slightly stretchy. I'ts kinda fuzzy on the outside like suede, but is a very strong material. Very high quality. The only downside I noticed is the seams on the inside are really scratchy/itchy. You would have to wear a long sleeve underneath! Hope this helps.

Answer to: "is this jacket enough for a ski trip in January?"

The North Face Apex Bionic Jacket - Women's

March 27, 2008

I think this jacket could be great it layered with a fleece underneath: it is totally wind blocking! Will definitely work skiing!

Good grief, no way would this jacket work in January in such places as Aspen. It would be sooo cold you would be miserable. It's light weight...
