Mammut Supersafe Climbing Rope - 10.2mm

Rating for this product: 2 July 7, 2008

Bought this rope because it's supersafe. and I bet it is, but it's also superthick, superstiff, and superheavy. I've gotten used to belaying with it but all my friends complain about its handling. Also didn't like the marking patterns - when it was new, first off, I found it easy to confuse the 'almost at end' pattern with the middle pattern - almost rappelled off a non-centered rope. After a couple of days of use the middle mark is almost invisible so this ceased to be a problem (but its no help either...no substitute for a bicolor).
