great winter biking boot
Neos Explorer Stabilicer Overshoe - Men's
July 11, 2008
I ride in cold weather, sometimes on icy trails or bike paths.Last winter I used Columbia winter boots with heavy duty strap on Stabilicers on regular pedals. When the bike is slipping, it doesn't do you any good to put down your foot down unless your foot stays put, so the hex screws on the bottoms of these babies work well. Great traction. I can wear these over comfortable office or running shoes, so that when I get to work I can pop off the NEOS and go in the building. They are pretty light as well.
