Chaco Z/2 Colorado Sandal - Men's
January 31, 2007
The Colorado soles are not very good if you plan on spending much time on a trail. The grooves are too shallow and overall too flat to provide any traction. I found myself slipping all the time on the trails. These soles do fine in the water and are decent for wet rocks and are great for town. But just know that even Chaco says these soles aren't for hiking. The uppers are super supportive and comfortable and the straps are great for getting a personalized fit.

Don't go to Alta...
Powder Mountain 1 Day Adult Lift Ticket

Help keep Alta uncrowded. Don't go and don't tell your vacationing friends. Send them to Park City or Brighton. Help preserve the powder, steep terrain and parking for me by not sending them. Help us keep this secret safe. Friends don't let friends ski Alta, they keep the Pow for themselves!!!

Life-Link Alpine Extreme Composite Probe Poles
January 19, 2007
Best poles I've used. They swing well and you get a perfectly customized length with the 2 inches of adjustment. They weigh next to nothing but are plenty sturdy. The baskets are huge and provide pretty good "stay on top" ability. The grips are really nice because of their contour and grippy material. The removable pole straps adjust a generous amount and really do remove when you bite it or catch them. Overall, I'd buy them again.

Great traction
MSR Denali Ascent Snowshoe
January 10, 2007
I have climbed some very steep slopes in both powder and spring slush with these and they hold very well. The side traction claws hold well while traversing. The climbing bars work well to ease the strain on the calves. Overall, these are great shoes I'd recommend.
