Fantastic Glove

Burton Pinnacle XCR Glove - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 January 2, 2007

These are great gloves. They come with a little packet of weather-proofing wax that you apply to the leather surfaces of the glove (the palm, finger undersides, and fingertips) and let dry for about 12 hours. Then you wipe of any excess and you're good to go. Size XL fit as expected. The liner is quite nice enough to wear "around the lodge" but they can be easy to lose since they don't attach to the glove in any way (just be careful not to drop the liners). I originally bought the more expensive "AK 3L Glove" but was not as impressed. I think these are better for most people. These may not be *quite* as absolutely waterproof and warm under the coldest cold, but these look better on your hand, and these are actually a little roomier. They kept my hands nice and warm in 15-degree (farenheight) slopes in Alberta, Canada. I have them in both the brown and black colorways. Highly recommended.

Perfect for Traveling

Oakley Passport Jacket - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 January 2, 2007

Bought this for my g/f mainly for our flight too/from Canada. It fit the bill perfectly and she wore it both to and from. It's nice and comfy/soft and just warm enough without being too hot on the plane. Size small fit her larger chest and small, trim waist perfectly (it looked awesome actually). Not many tops that look so hot are also this comfortable to wear. Good job Oakley!

Great Glove!

Burton Gore Glove - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 January 2, 2007

These gloves are among the best Burton has created for women in years. Highly recommended. zipper pouch on back of hand works great with those hand warmer things. These kept my g/f's hands dry and warm all day on the slopes in Alberta, Canada (high temp was about 15-degrees Fahrenheit). The palm and finger underside have a great, grippy rubber that's not hard or scratchy or anything. Very durable. No regrets. The brown in these gloves is the best actual match for the base brown color in the "Paisley Print/Brown" pattern that some Burton jackets and pants are available in.

Great Jacket! Burton Nails it Again!

Burton Dutchess Insulated Jacket - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 January 2, 2007

This a terrific women's jacket. The paisley pattern is totally hot and gets a lot of comments. It's feminine without being too too "girly." The fuzzy layer on the inside of the collar is really nice, soft and warm and the outside flap that covers the main zipper all the way up the front of the collar has hidden, magnetic inserts that keep it closed while also being very easy to open and close (way easier than a bunch of buttons). And yes, this jacket does look sweet with the cruiser pants. Unless you are a Yeti, you will definitely need some sort of insulated layer(s) underneath this jacket on cold days though as it is only the outer layer. But it is a warm outer-layer, not just a thin shell. Seemed totally waterproof.

Great Jacket (It's just a shell though!)

Burton AK Gore 3L Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 January 2, 2007

This is an extremely high quality shell and the pattern is simultaneously subtle and classy yet very original and modern. The cut is very flattering if you are in relatively good physical shape. Be sure to get the AK pants too to complete that "matchy-matchy" look that'll have all the grommets staring in envy. The "accessory" zippers (not the main, front zipper) were a little hard to pull back and forth at first, but they loosened up after a few days' use. Regarding the fit: there are definitely roomier Burton shells. This jacket has more of a "tailored" fit than some, but it doesn't restrict movement in any way whatsoever and it looks really sharp. It kept me totally dry and warm in Banff, Alberta when worn with an older, Burton SpaceLoft insulated layer, and the AK bottom layer (long underwear) that also has the psycho-stripe pattern. The price might seem a bit steep for just a shell, but the top-notch materials, unparalleled construction, and the contemporary cut/style are what you're paying for.
