Actually I find the denali to be a bit generous in the fit next to other jackets. I wear a Medium and find the medium in the Denali to be a little big. I moved to the small and it fits better and looks better. With the Denali I don't usually bundle up too much becuase it is so thick and warm. Maybe if I was wearing a sweater and tee shirt it might be different. My only thought for you is you are over bundling becuase it is cold thus causing the jacket to seem tight.

This Jacket is highly water resistant and like most jackets with a DWR finish after washing it repeatedly it loses some of it beading properties. The Bionic has a very tight weave so it won't leak through all that easy but if you want that rain-x look to it then reapply DWR finish after a year or so.
