Jacket is really cute but fits big!

Burton Element Jacket - Girls'

Rating for this product: 4 April 29, 2008

Bought this for my 9 year old daughter who picked this out to match her new snowboard. The lavender color is great but I must caution buyers about the fit of the jacket. I purchased based on the sizing chart, but the jacket literally looked 1-2 sizes too big for my daughter. Since she loved the look and color, and I loved the price, we decided to not return in. We figured she would have a growth spurt between now and next year, so for this season we just folded up (2 folds per side) the jacket's sleeves and covered it up with her snowboard gloves. Jacket is lightweight but kept her warm up in Mammoth Mountain.

Great pants but beware of sizing

Burton Wrangler Pant - Girls'

Rating for this product: 4 April 29, 2008

I purchased this and the matching jacket based on the sizing chart, and found out that Burton products seem to run way large. When we adjusted the hook and loop @ the waist, we found that the waistband protrudes out at the sides making it noticeably ill fitting. A belt would have helped the pants gather better at the waist. However, that being said the pants are still very cute, kept my daughter warm, she loves the color, I love the price and it will be great for next year when she grows an inch or two. If I had ignored the sizing chart and bought a size smaller, the fit would have been much more true to size. I concur with the other buyers' comments on sizing.
