HANDS DOWN!
Salomon Revo GCS GTX Backpacking Boot - Men's
July 4, 2008
The best all-around backpacking/trekking boot. Most comfortable I have ever tried by far. I have about 200 miles on the first pair and not one blister ever, which is more than I can say for the 5 other pairs of Asolos/Vasques that I tried before these. Under heavy loads these perform great, and long days these never feel heavy at the end.. Super rugged, and feel free to stand in running water, these things are waterproof. Only thing I could say is I wish they used Event waterproof material instead of unbreathable gore tex, then they would be the best boot on the planet.

AWESOME Rain Shell!
Westcomb Specter LT Jacket - Men's
May 13, 2008
I love this Specter! I have used it for backpacking mostly, but have used it as a light snowboarding shell in wet spring conditions too... So far the best breathing of any waterproof shell I have ever owned or used, zero swampy goretex feel! eVent rocks! I am now a huge believer... Oh and Westcomb is one of the most helpful companies I have ever dealt with, great products and service.

I know this pack is a little older but I just recently got it to use as my quick/light pack... I love this thing! Awesome construction, super lightweight, waterproof, and very easy to load up! Also has pretty sweet suspension... Two thumbs up!

Not sure about the large, but someone weighed the medium at 9oz. Large is proably right around 10 I am guessing.
