La Sportiva Typhoon Hiking Boot
La Sportiva Typhoon GTX Hiking Boot - Men's
June 10, 2008
I needed hiking boots that would provide support for backpacking in the Highlands of Scotland, be comfortable enough for miles of trails, and be water resistant enough for walking through wet peet bogs. I ordered 2 pairs of the Typhoon GTX boots, one in my normal size and the other pair a 1/2 size larger to make sure I would have the best fit before starting my trip. The boots were true to size and I returned the larger size boots. My trip lasted a week where I wore these boots everyday. I experienced no blisters or aches while wearing these boots. I had no unusual foot perspiration and my feet remained dry even after walking through shallow streambeds and fields of wet peet bogs. These boots are a little expensive compared to other boot manufactures but if keeping dry feet and being comfortable in wet hiking conditions is important to you, I recommend you consider them.
