Nice Ride!

Burton Royale Snowboard

Rating for this product: 5 April 1, 2008

First two days out last week at Heavenly, and it performed like a sports car. The 162 has pop in the turns and off of jumps, and is lightning fast. When they say "mid-wide," they mean 10.5 to possibly 11.5, but the size 12 boots I had were too big, and got some massive toe / heel drag. Good for me that they were too big for me too, and I my new size 11 boots fit me and the board perfectly. Full marks - A+.

Good deal, but the hood is a mess

Billabong Alliance Snowboard Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 March 6, 2008

The jacket is a good jacket and a good deal with 10,000 mm waterproofing and breathability. However, the drawstring for the hood only goes around the face so it is hard to sinch up around your head, and the faux fur around the hood just hangs in your face. It's good that it is removable, but too bad that the hood isn't. There isn't very much pocket space - only two little ones inside, a little one on the sleeve, and two bigger ones in front that access from the sides.
