I don't think I have ever spent more than $60.00 for a pair of sunglasses but didn't like the fit and feel of the cheaper pairs. So I splurged and bought a pair of white flak jackets and couldn't be happier. While exercising they don't bounce around on my face, hurt me ears or squeeze too tight, the tinted lenses are perfectly clear across the field of vision. While I'm happy with the level of tinting I can even change lenses if I choose. Should have bought a pair like this years ago. My wife tried them on when she went running and I ended up buying her a pair of pink ones a week later so I could get mine back! The glasses also have held up admirably in the field on two separate backpacking trips. Would purchase these again in a heartbeat. Incidentally, my head is on the small side and found glasses hard to fit or look too large. These fit and look perfect on my head and equally good on my friends with average sized heads. Probably look great on alien heads too...

I had been using an old external frame pack for years but recently bought the Terra 60 after reading many good reviews about it, including backpacker magazines 2008 'best buy' gear award and review. I've used the pack on several multi-day trips in the desert. The outside fabric is tough and seems to sheet dirt and prickly foliage so it's always clean despite my best efforts (read, no hitchhikers poking me in the back after stops). The outside storage pockets actually stretch and expand to accommodate my odd shaped items but are tough and resilient (even when grabbed by branches and thorns). I carried my lightweight gear plus water and food for three people for three days and still had a small amount of room left. Had I only been packing for me I could easily use this pack for longer multi-night trips despite it's advertisement as a 'weekend pack'. With gear and water the pack weighed in at 30lbs (I don't carry a tent). The adjustments are many and really provide the kind of comfort I was hoping for after reading the specs, I wasn't disappointed. Lastly, I LOVE the position and design of all the tie down options on the outside of the pack. There was some real world knowledge applied to the design of this pack and it shows up constantly while packing, hiking and using the pack on the trail. I'm a big fan, thanks North Face.

Great price for a great pack. Listed as a day or weekend pack the Terra 60 provided more than enough comfortable space for a 5 day excursion and weighed in under 35lbs with water and food. The pack has an incredible array of adjustments for comfort and fit making it by far the most comfortable pack I've yet used. Plenty of strapping along outside of pack in various configurations which allowed me to easily tote my sleeping pad and those of my mates. Material stood-up to the harsh desert environ where I live without so much as a smudge on it. I'd buy it again and plan to recommend it to my friend who's in the market for a pack. Cheers.
