After getting pelted by heavy wet snow last season and getting sick because my jacket was not Gore-Tex I decided to up my gear. I did a lot of research in regards to Gore-Tex jackets and this jacket is by far the least expensive on the market. It is very hard to find a snowboarding Gore-Tex jacket that is less than $300. I have put it to the test on the Appalacians, Rockies and at Tahoe and it far surpassed my expectations. Simplicity at its best. Throw on a midweight or expedition-weight first layer and you are set. It was so nice that I bought it twice. I have it in Red Rock and picked up the True Black. Also it is a snowboarder-specific jacket designed by one of the elite snowboard companies and it has a lifetime warranty. Just get it and never worry about a wet day again.

These socks are not cheap but they are worth every dollar. I bought 2 pairs for a 4 day trip and rotated them. They were perfect and didn't stink at all. They keep your toes toasty and they never got swampy or clammy. Outlast is an awesome science.

This jersey is supa comfy and works well with a silk weight or midweight first layer on colder days in the pipe. Also it can double as a first layer. If you get it in Dublin you can rock it on St.Paddy's day.
