finally! bug free myd living!
Black Diamond Mega Bug Shelter

I love my myd but it always was a drag in early summer when the bugs were bad. I would string up a regular bug net that you'd hang from a ceiling inside, but it was always such a pain. Love this product...I, however, differ from another reviewer in that I feel it is quite heavy for what it is. This plus my myd weighs almost as much as my expedition tent...and the whole point of me using my myd is going light! Still, great overall.

great tent!
Marmot Thor 2- Person Tent Footprint
May 16, 2008
As others have mentioned, the tent it heavy, but so are most expedition-worthy tents. I love it, and the colors are great for when you are trapped inside on gloomy days. It still seems bright! My only complaints were that in winter conditions I found the joints at the tent poles would freeze together and I had to breathe on them to warm 'em up enough to break down the poles...I have never had this problem with tent poles before, and maybe it was that particular winter night. I hope it doesn't happen again when I need to get out of dodge quickly or if it is freezing out! That would really suck. Having said that, I really like this tent. Great size for two people and gear, and pretty easy to set up.
